The inspiration for Living Aesthetics came from the integration of observations made on industrial style and living aesthetics. The designer expertly laid out an exquisite space and texture using iron pieces, aluminum pieces, and stainless-steel materials. The result is a spatial ambiance where functionality meets aesthetics, offering a unique interpretation of wildness and boldness.
One of the standout features of this design is the clever use of space. The foyer walkway, which is disproportionally long, has been transformed into functional storage cabinets. The cabinet doors are designed with iron nets and scattered patchwork of imported tiles, creating a visually appealing and organized space. In the public area, the commonly seen sofa and coffee table have been eliminated. Instead, a high bar counter serves as both a dining table and a working space, adding both aesthetic atmosphere and functionality.
The limited space available in the two bedrooms posed a challenge in terms of storage. To address this, the partition wall was taken down and the space was presented as an open closet area. Additionally, carpentry work, system furniture panels, and iron pieces were used to create a streamlined and fashionable storage room, enhancing the overall style of the space.
Living Aesthetics is a testament to the designer's meticulous attention to detail and creative space layout. The disposition of lighting and the use of construction materials bring forth the intensely industrial hues and essence. This design not only showcases the beauty of industrial style but also creates a sense of happiness and comfort, making it a truly unique living experience.
The Living Aesthetics project was completed on May 15, 2017, in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It has received recognition for its exceptional design, winning the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020. This award is a testament to the well-designed, practical, and innovative nature of the project, meeting professional and industrial requirements.
Living Aesthetics is a testament to the power of design to transform living spaces and create a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics. With its unique interpretation of industrial style, this residential apartment offers a one-of-a-kind living experience that is both captivating and inspiring.
